Jean
Hoffman presenting GenSmarts
Presented
by Jean Hoffman
- Most genealogy software is
focused on helping you document what you
know about your family. Unfortunately, that's just the tip of the
iceberg... there's so much more that you don't know, of course. Aside
from search engines and a couple of sites that help you find links
between your family and others... there's not much out there that helps
you do the legwork.
- GenSmarts uses a kind of
artificial intelligence that we call "smart
objects" - that's where we take the name GenSmarts from. By bringing
some virtual life into your existing family history knowledge, and
letting it interact with the "smart objects" we created to represent
the various historical records and research locations... we create the
magic that we call GenSmarts.
- Context is worth 100 IQ
points - that's the big idea with GenSmarts.
There are lots of places where you can read about the types of things
you need to do to research your family. Lots of other places you can go
to find out where different types of records are available for your
searching. But there's nothing that puts this in the context of YOUR
ancestors - until now. GenSmarts - learning by example is so much more
effective (and fun)
